Craig Glover has been helping hardworking families, individuals, and business owners navigate financial services and achieve their goals for over 15 years. Craig joined WLD Financial Services Ltd. (WLDFS) in the spring of 2015 after having worked in retail and private wealth divisions for three of the country's largest financial institutions, primarily in the lower mainland of BC. After acquiring a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Finance and International Business at the University of Northern British Columbia, Craig always knew that he would settle somewhere outside of the bustling metropolitan area of southern British Columbia. In 2013 he chose to make Williams Lake his home. An avid fisherman and outdoor enthusiast, Craig found the Cariboo to be a natural fit in terms of work-life balance, and he looks forward to many more years serving and helping members of the communities where he lives, works, and plays.
As the Manager, Financial Planning and Financial Planner and insurance advisor for Williams Lake and District Credit Union's subsidiary WLD Financial Services, Craig is the resident expert for wealth management services for Credit Union members and others seeking expert planning and advice in the communities in which the Credit Union operates. Craig indirectly leads and supports a team of investment specialists across three different branches.
A Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), a Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM), a Personal Financial Planner (PFP), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Craig is highly qualified, and ready, willing, and able to help those requiring a financial plan, retirement plan, investment plan or wealth preservation strategy. His qualifications and designations, in partnership with other experts, allow him to provide further valuable insights into estate planning, tax planning and business succession planning.
Outside of his professional pursuits Craig volunteers his time in the community working with the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) and he regularly co-hosts workshops with other Credit Union employees, providing financial literacy education through the Each One, Teach One program.
Committed to helping anyone desiring help, regardless of how much money they have, has allowed Craig to fully embrace Williams Lake and District Credit Union's values and principles and carry those over to WLDFS.
Abigail King began her career in 2007 as an account manager at a major bank after completing a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops BC. Her degree is in General Studies with a strong focus on economics and finance. Abigail also holds her Mutual Funds License through Credential Asset Management Inc.
She started at the Williams Lake & District Credit Union in October 2014 & is very grateful to work for a company that believes in the importance of the family-work-life balance and that is such a strong supporter of the community.
Abigail welcomes the opportunity to offer guidance and advice with your finances and to help build your wealth.
Starting as a teller and cross-training with the Financial Services department, Brandy was eventually promoted to the position of Loans and Deposit Administrator. Working closely with the Credit Union's lenders, Brandy expanded her industry knowledge while learning many aspects of the lending process.
In 2015 Brandy commenced studies for Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) through the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI). She achieved her certificate in April 2016 and later that year embarked on her journey as Investment Specialist.
Brandy continues to take courses through CSI, completing the Fundamentals of Financial Planning in 2019. To date in 2020, she has completed the Building a Mutual Funds Advisory Practice course, earning a Certificate in Advanced Mutual Funds Advice.
Brandy enjoys working for a co-operative organization with a strong focus on community. She welcomes the opportunity to provide guidance and looks forward to helping you achieve your financial goals.
Steve welcomes the opportunity to give you guidance, advice, and help investing and protecting your money. He thinks it’s important that you have a good understanding of your finances and a solid, workable plan for the future- a plan that’s appropriate for where you, your family, and your business are today, and that delivers the results you need for tomorrow. As you work with Steve from year to year, he’ll help you evolve your plan as life unfolds, and address the tough questions and decisions along the way.
Knowing that you're protected for the unexpected can help you
achieve your dreams.

Thinking about why you need life insurance can be distressing. Yet it is one of the most responsible decisions you can make. Having the right amount of life insurance protection will provide your family with a financially secure future. At WLD Financial Services Ltd. we provide an array of life insurance options.
Term Insurance
Term life insurance is designed to provide you with insurance protection for a set period of time at an affordable price. It provides your beneficiaries with the amount specified in your policy, tax-free, if you pass away while the policy is in force. There are many terms and benefit amounts available; we will help you determine what best meets your needs.
Whole (permanent) Life Insurance
Whole (or permanent) life insurance is designed to provide insurance protection for your entire lifetime. The premiums are fixed at the time you take out the policy, and your beneficiaries will receive the full amount you're insured for. What's more, because the benefit is tax-free, it can be an effective way to protect your estate - and your beneficiaries.
Universal Life Insurance
To protect your family and invest for your future, consider universal life policies. Combining permanent life insurance protection with a flexible portfolio of investment options - all customized to your financial needs and aligned with your risk tolerance - universal life insurance is the most flexible coverage available today. Your plan can be customized when you buy it, and you can make changes later on. This plan offers you the opportunity for tax-advantaged investing, increasing your wealth by investing money within your policy.
Disability, long-term care and critical illness insurance products are designed to help you protect you, your family, and your way of life from the effects of a disabling illness or injury.
Disability Insurance
Disability insurance helps provide replacement income if you are unable to work because of sickness or injury. Disability insurance can help replace lost income, subsidize living expenses while you are unable to work and, most importantly, provide security for your family. Benefits are calculated as a percentage of your usual salary and are tax free.
Disability insurance allows you to choose from several options including:
-
The monthly income you receive while on disability
-
You can receive disability benefits from 2 years to the age of 70
-
The waiting period before your first payment
-
Top-up benefits if you are unable to perform your old job but can still work in another role
-
Cost of living option to insure that your benefits keep pace with cost of living increases
There are many different disability insurance options available. One of our Financial Planners can help you determine the coverage that's right for you.
Critical Illness Coverage
More and more people recover from critical illness these days. But treating and coping with that illness can involve significant costs. Critical illness coverage is there for you when you need it most. Critical illness insurance can help you deal with the unexpected costs of an illness and get started on recovery as soon as possible.
Long-term Care
No one plans to become disabled. But if it does happen, either as a result of an accident or old age, it's reassuring to know you have long-term insurance. We can help you choose a plan to cover home care, facility care or both. You also have extensive flexibility in how you design your plan, so you can enjoy the best care at a price you can afford.
