What is a Credit Union?
Credit unions are member-owned, full service co-operative financial institutions.
Governance
The credit union is overseen by a Board of Directors elected by and from the
membership. The Board of Williams Lake and
District Credit Union is comprised of nine Directors elected for three year
terms. Directors are members who reside in the various communities served
by the credit union. The Board makes the leadership decisions needed to maintain a
successful operation, including the approval of long- term strategic plans.
Directors undertake extensive personal development through the Credit Union Director Achievement
program.
How are we Different?
Each member is part owner of the Credit Union and has a voice. Members may be eligible for patronage.

Community Investment Fund
The Williams Lake and District Credit Union's Community Investment Fund supports local non-profit organizations and community groups with projects and initiatives that contribute to economic revitalization and improvement in quality of life while breaking down barriers in order to help families achieve economic success and enhanced quality of life.
